Founded in the year 1978, Anna University is renowned for its technical education programs. It is named after the honourable late Dr. C.N. Step 1: Eligibility Check
– Ensure students should meet the eligibility criteria, which includes having a bachelor’s degree under the 10+2+3 pattern.
– For M.Sc and MCA programs, they must have studied Mathematics/Statistics as a major subject either in their respective degree or atleast at the 12th level.
Step 2: Entrance Test (if applicable)
– If any student is applying for MCA or MBA programs, They need to appear for the Distance Education Entrance Test (DEET).
– Students who are having a valid TANCET score will be exempt from appearing in the DEET.
Step 3: Application Form Download
– Student are requested to visit the official website of Anna University and download the application form after being qualified or shortlisted for the admission process.
Step 4: Application Form Submission
– Now they are required to fill in the application form accurately with the required information that is basic details.
Step 5: Document Attachment
– Attach the necessary documents along with the application form . Students needs to attach all the document strictly that is mention in the form
Step 6: Application Fee Payment
-Lastly they need to pay the application fee by issuing a Demand Draft in favor of “The Director, Centre for Distance Education, Anna University”.
Note: Admission for M.Sc programs is based on the marks obtained in their bachelor’s degree.
At the Centre for Distance Education, Anna University, the examination pattern comprises two main components they need to keep in mind is that firstly: internal assessment and end-term examination. Each course carries a maximum of 100 marks, with 20% allocated for internal assessment conducted by the university throughout the semester. Secondly The remaining 80% will be assessed through the end-term examination.
As of 2024, the Centre for Distance Education, Anna University offers options for loans and EMI facilities to students.
Anna University’s Centre for Distance Education conducts contact classes will be spanning 12 days, held on alternative weekends, and that will be on a fixed timetable. A minimum attendance of 50% at these contact classes is mandatory for every students to be eligible for the end-term examination.
