Suresh Gyan Vihar University is an autonomous private university in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The university was founded through Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur Act (Act No. 16 of 2008), but its parent institution, Sahitya Sadavarta Samiti, was started in 1938. The university has different schools to provide education in different fields like engineering, pharmacy, business, hotel management, and much more.
The university provides distance education through the Directorate of Distance Education and it was started in the year 2012. They offer distance courses in arts, management, business etc. Suresh Gyan Vihar University provides loan facilities and no cost EMI options to the students. The university provides education through a 4 layered learning management system called “EduSphere” which is integrated with the university. The teaching methods of the university will include exams, e-books, assessments, selfie scans and more.
Suresh Gyan Vihar University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) due to its active participation in education, sports, allied fields and other fields. The University Grants Commission and the Bureau of Distance Education have approved the university. The university is also recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has given “A” grade to the university and the university is also famous for its e-campus.

The admission process for SGVU distance education is conducted completely through online mode. The admissions are conducted twice a year in the months of January and July. The different steps of the admission process is given below.
Step 1: Visiting the university website and enrolling in a counseling session to get the clarity about the different programs and your interests.
Step 2: After the career guidance sessions, click “Apply Now” button for downloading the application form.
Step 3: Filling out the application form and sending the soft copy to the counselor or to the university through Email.
Step 4: Payment of fee (installments or on-time) through net banking/ debit card/ credit card/ demand draft/ cheque.
Step 5: Verification of the admission from the side of university. Students will receive the admission letter with other important details.
The examinations are organized at centres designated by the Suresh Gyan Vihar University. The exams will be conducted two times a year and it have 70% of the total weightage. 30% weightage will be given to internal assessments like assignments. For writing the exam, the candidates should submit a minimum number of assignments on time. Practical exams will be also there depending upon the courses. Other than this, the examinations will be having projects, viva and others. Students should perform well in these areas to get a good result. The grading system is showed in the table given below.
