The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, located in Hisar, Haryana, was established on October 20, 1995, through legislation by the State Legislature. Its mission is to promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education, focusing on technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources, and management studies. Named after the 15th-century saint environmentalist Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, the university received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2 (f) for degree recognition and under Section 12(B) for central assistance within a short span of time after its inception. Accredited by the (NAAC) at grade “A” multiple times, the university has consistently demonstrated excellence of high quality education. Recently, it achieved an ‘A+’ grade from NAAC, that will be valid until 2027, and ranked in the 101-150 band in the NIRF Ranking 2023.

The examination pattern adopted by the Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology Online programs is mirrors the common approach taken by many universities. It comprises two key components that is: firstly Internal assessment and Secondly the end-term examinations.
Internal assessment will be contributing 20-30% of the total weightage of paper and that is based on assignments submitted by students at the semester’s outset. The remaining marks will be allocated based on the value-based learning and practical knowledge demonstrated by each student. On the other hand, end-term examinations assess students’ overall theoretical understanding accumulated throughout the semester of the students, constituting approximately around 70-80% of the total weightage of the paper.
