Delhi University Distance Education

One of the best State Universities in India is Delhi University. It is a premier University of the Country with a Vulnerable legacy international acclaim for highest academic standards, diverse educational programmes, distinguished faculty, illustrious alumni, varied co-curricular activities and modern infrastructure. 

Online and Distance Learning in India was initiated by Delhi University in 1962 through the School of correspondence courses and Continuing Education to enable those, who have inclination and aptitude to acquire further education and improve their professional competence with flexibility.

In the beginning of Online Learning they started with conventional programmes in humanities and commerce with around 900 students and now came a very long way with  more than four lakh students across various disciplines. The first school of Online Learning established at Moti Bagh in 1990, in south study centre, In west at keshav Puram in 2007, and an upcoming centre in Tahirpur in East Delhi. In 2002, DDCE ( Department of distance and continuing education), University of Delhi initiated professional and contemporary courses like MBA, BMS, BBA and others. From this year they are also starting a BA(Hons.) Psychology programme.
This school of open learning provides an opportunity for higher education, to those people who don’t have time for regular college or who are employed but want to pursue further education and add qualifications. The mode is completely flexible which provides you with online video lectures which are conducted at the learning support centre with proper academic counselling sessions.
