Mahatma Gandhi University initiated its Distance Education on the basis of the philosophy that in a democratic country, everyone should be acquainted by the Knowledge and skills if they are not able to do that through conventional methods. The distance education system has widened the mode of Education for those people who are not able to have conventional education.
They started their Distance Education in 1990. They emphasise education without compromising quality and standards in any mode either its conventional or Distance.
From May 2015, they discontinued their Distance education and are currently dealing with administrative matters regarding old registration. Presently the DEM is not available by the university.
The University evaluates on the basis of Internal assessments and end term examinations. The internal assessments consist of 20% and End- term examination consists of 80% of the total weightage.
Placements-
The Placements are great. As 80% to 90% students are placed by the college placement. Many people got placed in MNCs and 40-50% batch got placed in IT companies. The top recruiters are Wipro, Oracle, UST Global and many more top companies visit the campus for placement. The placement cell provides placement assistance from the initial stage. They focus on every skill either soft or hard for better placement opportunities.
Reviews–
Most of the students said that this is one of the top and best Universities in India. They provide great opportunities to students and hold many extracurricular activities. The Campus is surrounded with greenery which makes campus life pretty and chill.
The placements are also pretty nice, most of the students get placed by the college itself. There are many MNCs and banks that visit campus every year.
